Some days ago, my sister mentioned that an acclaimed dance troupe was coming to town. From her zealous ramble, I was only able to pick up the first garbled syllable of a name that was repeated several times, Alv… err… Ave? Lava? Ailing? I had no idea what she was talking about.
Turns out the troupe is the renowned Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, which was discerned only after hearing an intelligible description of the group on KCRW.
Looks like we’re going.

You were right. Alvin Ailey Dance Theater was amazing. I have never seen so much grace and talent in my entire life. Good lord. Gravity has no lease on them. Curse my mother for not extolling the virtues of dance in my infancy!
